long boards
( back to short boards-page 1 or to the boards-page 3)

Tim Jones, a very close friend, lives and
surfs full time at "J" Bay. He and his beautiful
wife have been an inspiration and together they
have a gaggel of kids. Tim has some birds as
well and wanted the feathers on the board...
problem was holding the birds down long enough...
As you can tell from the other photo,
Tim is pretty stoked with his new board...
can't say the same about the plucked birds...

Nick, the base manager for Sunsail Yacht Charters
is getting started so we made him a 9'0" wide nose
nose rider

This is a close up of the art work. It's a palm frond sprayed over with an airbrush. Only the the 3rd one I have done like this.

Tims' new feather, this one is 6/8 and is a retro design that he liked from the past...you can see the 2 concaves going off the tail which is a feature the older board did not include

This is Tim's son Trevor on his 9th birthday with his birthday present.
While Tim sticks with the feather motif, Trevor is a bit more "In-Your-Face" with his art

Katie from St. Thomas wanted a 7'0" fun board. This one has the airbrushed palm fronds on it.

Top and bottom opf Jody's fun shape. She travels the horrible roads of Tortola on a small yellow scooter...

Kirt is the master ding repair guy in our place, here he is with his girlfriend Kristy's new board, a board Kirt designed for her to learn on. Kirt is learning to shape and every other phase of the business...he's a huge help!  Here is Kirt with his friend Mark's board, another design by Kirt. Kirt works in a dive shop, surfs very often and donates time on the weekends to ding repair!

Captain Kirk's latest invention...the psycedelic bat board which he shaped himself

4 Fin monster for small waves

Single to 2 concaves, huge planning area and 4 fins, can't possibly get more into 1 board
Matt, another Sunsail guy wanted a 9'0" for his girlfriend. This spray really turned out nice. Those are reflections on thedeck, not bumps!

The Anderson Gang, all wanted suspects!
Sean (left) and Alec (right) with their
Christmas presents...Santa was great this year.
Same suspects 1 year later, Erin with her 1st Bugs Bunny board and Alec with his Bug Board Man they grow up fast!

Ann, one of the founding members of the St. Thomas Blue Crush group, and the target of much attention.

9'0" Fun Board for MICK the videographer.
Mick has about as many hours behind the
camera as he has in the water. A very classic
3 stringer model with a slight concave in the nose.
The world's largest sailmaker comes to the
world's smallest surfboard maker...Jay Phillips,
president of North Sails, BVI chose a remake
of an earlier version we did.

Most guys in St. John have their heads in the clouds...
This guy wanted to surf on clouds...pretty cartooney looking

Longtime Tortola resident Tom Chapman
wanted a Christmas present so his Dad got
him a stealth bomber...One of the hardest
boards I've ever had to paint...

Vlad ordered a 6'4". He has a board
from South Africa that we increased and he got a nice one.
Joe Chapman, Tom's brother picked up his new 5'1" and Tom's new 6'2". Joe is our newest team member and is learning to shape boards for us
2 for Andy @ HI-HO. A 6'9" swallow wing
fish
& a 7'10" fun board. Why does every one
want a swallow wing fish? BECAUSE THEY RIP!!!
Garreth, the most dapper of all the trust company guys, along with his short board he has this 9' nose rider...I wish I had his wardrobe and style

Joshua wanted a new 8'0" fun board glassed the same as one I made him in 1977 when he was 4 years old! October 04

Gareth's newest 7'8" Swallow with a neat airbrush. October 04

Jack and his new board...5'2 high performance thruster. Twin concaves with slight v and very hard rails in the tail.

Whenever I get to Apple Bay as the sun is coming up and
there's
one guy ripping on a longboard on the lefts I know
it's Miguel from Coconut Graphix. His choice is the 9' on
the left. Just recently he got a 8' (on the right) as
he left his other 8' at his vacation spot in Mexico.
.

What do you do when a guy named BOBO calls and wants one with a mushroom on it surrounded by amoebas... Exactly what he got

This is Jimbo and his new 5'8" beginner board although he's already ripping. Sort of a custom liquid shredder.

6'6" Squash tail that goes so fast it smokes!

6'10 Round Pin thruster for Mike Enloe,
senior partner and photographer (Dad)
on the Enloe surf team

Mike Enloe needed a newer, smaller board
for his and David's summer trip to the Pacific
and Western Australia...Mike is a dentist...
that's the reason for the design
.
The nicest thing that happens in the Caribbean is when we get the best local surfers riding our boards.
After years of riding hand-me-downs from the travellers, it's
fun to see them rip on their own customboard. Who could ever forget watching Gorjo "Ganster" ripping backside and doing insane, tail first, air drops at Apple Bay? Gorjo decided on a 9'0" with concave nose and very tightly tucked rails. Now he tells me he wants a 6'10" fish...watch out JC !!

3 Veterinary School Students from St. Kitts ordered these 3 Boards over the inter-net. We have arrived in the 21st Century!

Left to right: Lauren asked for a 6' fish w/ 5 fins!, Brad wanted a 6'4" Squash tail and Beth wanted to honor Texas (or Puerto Rico ?) with a 6'2" Fish

 Detail from Kenny's board
Kenny called from the college in St. Kitts and wanted one also, his is a 6'4" with an interesting design.
