the boards
(and the boards-page 2 & the boards-page 3)

First Board

6'1" Swallow wing fish,
first board completed
in the new CGB factory...
After Marley broke
his I gave him this one
and he is shredding it!
My good friend Tim from St. John and
his new 6'5" Swallow Tail. We developed
this radically curvey template together.
Now I use the tail section often. I'm glad
Tim wanted a small board so I can have
the outer point to myself!

 JC's newest model, 5'10" RocketFish.

JC and our God Son Noah and the RF

For JC's birthday his wife gave him the
Rocket Fish above and I gave him this
Rocket Log. It is very lightly glassed so
I have no doubt but that he'll tear it apart...
JC is VERY hard on surfboards!

 Another one for JC,
this one has a very light glass job, sanded finish
and that sort of "stealth look"...sort of a
sneaker board for JC. He has so many
boards, I think this one is for 42.5" waves
to 54.75". The man definitely has his boards down!

JC is arguably the best surfer on Tortola. It's great to have him give me ideas for
boards he'd like. Here is his 6'2" round pin, single fin and 5'10 fish. Both are from the 70's (not Lilly or Chester).
That's Lilly proudly displaying her boards while Chester looks on in the background
and JC kisses us all off!!! I left the date
stamp on the photos so everyone would know this is not from the 70's!!

4th in a series for JC. The man definitely has plenty of
boards. 5'10" Twin Fin, Double Concave,
Wing Fish...which works better as a Twin Fin with a
small trailer fin in the center. Good thing JC can ride
anything and make us look good
!

JC's Gun, 7'2" Single Wing Pin, Single Fin,
Slight V In Front of the Fin. Turned Down Rails.
Right out of the 70's... Just Like JC Likes. I Liked
It So Much I made Myself One...Just a Bit Bigger!!
(News Flash, Hulk, from Tortola liked it better than
me and he bought it...plus he's bigger than me!)

Lily on her way to a secret BVI surf spot
November '04
Our favourite surfer chick with her fathers new Bunker Spreckles "edge board" very flat and really boxey rails that are hard all the way around...first in the RED HOT BLUE series

The day after Christmas and Lily checks out her
new 6'0"...she's a natural as Dad looks on

Christmas Day '04, Noah and Lily test the new boards that Santa left...Lily doing a classic head dip while Noah walks the nose...Noah's is 5'0"

JC's newest 5'10" Fish. Lily and Noah did the art!

Number 3 for Ant, this one is very similar to
the other purple one he's holding but about
2.25" thick...be careful what you ask for...in this
case Ant wanted a bit less volume...
he got a lot less!!

Ant, AKA "Guru" and his 2 new boards,
both copies of South African designs with
a bit of curve added to the fish on the right.
The fish is 5'10" and the swallow tail on the
left is 6'1". You will very rarely see these
boards though, as Ant rides very deep in the barrel.

So Tony comes along and wants a board like Scott's...
Tony wants his to say "Cane Cat" on the bottom...
Check Scott's "Cane Flame"below, no one is quite sure
what they have going, but they play a hell of a chess game.
Tony has also just finished his surf movie but I need him
to show it as a matinee, not quite so late.

 Tony Spencer, AKA "DANGER !!"
AKA "Spencer" AKA" Watch out for the rocks"
and his 2nd swallow wing fish. Single concave
rolling into 2 concaves along the center fin. 6'5.5"
I put his logo on this one extra large so you can see him coming

5'4" swallow wing fish for David Enloe, master charger...
same board different views. Who is that great airbrush artist?

David is off to the Pacific this summer so he needs
a "gun". This one is a whopping 5'7" x 17.5"
wide !!! What the heck ever happend to
a Hawaiian gun being at least 10'?
Times are definitely changing.

Scott from Sunsail Yacht Charters and his new 9'0

Nick, Also from Sunsail and also a 9'0"

2 x 9'0" Nose riders, 1 to St. Thomas (left) the
Other to Pat Nicloas from the BVI

Scott wins the most inovative design for this year,
and last year, and year before that...he likes his
boards a bit flatter in the rocker, with single
concave coming aft into 2 concaves and a bit
of spiral "V". Scott is one of the most improved
surfers in the BVI...I like to attribute it to the boards!!!

NEWS FLASH !!! Tristan from St. John
has been identified as the newest, youngest,
smallest charger from St. John, USVI...
if he could just figure out that shorts should
be short and boards should be longer...5'4" squash tail
(and the boards-page 2 & the boards-page 3)
